Trista Harris, President

Trista Harris is the leading voice at the intersection of futurism and the social sector, helping changemakers use long-term thinking to create more equitable and just communities. She is the author of FutureGood, a guidebook for leaders who want to harness the tools of futurism to drive bold social change. Trista has been featured on CNN and her work has appeared in the Chronicle of Philanthropy, The New York Times, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, Forbes, and numerous social sector publications.

She is President of FutureGood, a consultancy that helps visionary leaders design bold, long-term strategies that respond to today’s volatility and accelerate progress toward a more equitable future. She is an international speaker and trusted advisor to foundations and nonprofits tackling some of society’s most complex challenges.

Trista currently serves on the board of Tides, a partner for justice in the social sector that works with doers and donors to build power for historically excluded communities. Tides provides fiscal sponsorship, donor advised funds, impact investing, and a range of grantmaking solutions to advance social justice and equity.

Prior to launching FutureGood, Trista was President of the Minnesota Council on Foundations (MCF), where she led a vibrant network of grantmakers awarding over $1 billion annually, and Executive Director of the Headwaters Foundation for Justice. She earned a master’s in public policy from the Humphrey Institute at the University of Minnesota, a bachelor’s degree from Howard University, and a certificate in strategic foresight from the University of Oxford.

Trista’s work is grounded in a commitment to building capacity, shifting power, and advancing systemic change in communities.

Roula El-Asmar, Executive Assistant to the President

Roula El-Asmar is a results-driven HR Expert with extensive top-tier administrative skills. Roula serves as the Executive Assistant to Trista Harris at FutureGood. Roula has over 20 years experience in HR and program management. Roula specializes in programmatic and operational expansion and focuses on improving efficiency, reducing waste, and maximizing productivity.

Alondra Cano, Visioning Strategist

Alondra Cano weaves climate, culture, and food systems to help leaders create sustainable and thriving communities. She brings two decades of experience across the nonprofit, government, CDFI, and agriculture sectors. She made history as the first Latina ever elected to the Minneapolis City Council, where she served for eight years and authored policy on Green Zones and Cultural Districts. Alondra is bilingual and bicultural, her strategic communications skills have made her a valuable asset to public school districts and presidential campaigns. She enjoys farming and using her multifaceted experience to spark innovation and unlikely collaborations.

Betsy Cohen, Philanthropic Futurist

Betsy Cohen brings a powerful background in global inclusion, economic development, and corporate leadership. As the Executive Director of the St. Louis Mosaic Project, she has spent the past decade leading efforts to attract and retain international talent in the St. Louis region. Under her leadership, the Mosaic Project has fostered partnerships across businesses, universities, faith organizations, and government entities, with a goal of making St. Louis the fastest-growing metropolitan region for foreign-born residents by 2025. She is a recognized thought leader on multicultural inclusion. Betsy earned her B.A. from Wellesley College and her M.B.A. from the Harvard Business School.

Pamela Lightcap Domínguez, Executive Assistant

Pamela Lightcap Domínguez is an excellent communicator who is skilled in systems development and management. Pamela serves as Executive Assistant to the Relationship Managers at FutureGood. Pamela has 20+ years of experience working as an executive assistant. As an administrative professional, Pamela combines her strong organizational skills, creative problem solving, sense of social justice, and can-do spirit with everything she does.

Dena Rapley, Relationship Manager — FutureGood Studio

 

Dena Rapley is an agile program manager and creative problem-solver, overseeing FutureGood Studio to develop a client-centered online learning experience in futurism. She's an American-British dual national and she has worked in Mexico, the US, and the UK, primarily in higher ed. Dena is a feminist and environmentalist passionate about equitable and accessible learning. She holds a postgraduate certificate in Sustainability and Environmental Management from the University of Derby-Online, an MA in Latin American history from Indiana University-Bloomington, and a BA in history and Spanish from Hiram College.

Patricia Silva, Relationship Manager — Visioning

Patricia Silva is highly skilled at developing and maintaining relationships and is an innovative thinker. Patricia supports our strategic visioning and our operations and process development.

Patricia is an ArtEquity trained facilitator and holds a Master of Arts degree in Nonprofit Management from St. Mary’s University. She was born and raised in Brazil and considers herself a citizen of the world.

Prior to joining FutureGood, Patricia worked at MOSSA as a Business Coach and held positions at the YMCA, Guthrie Theatre, and Walker Art Center.
