Nsombi Ricketts

Nsombi B. Ricketts joined The Rockefeller Foundation in January 2024 as Vice President of
Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), where she leads strategic DEI efforts across the
organization in alignment with operational and programmatic priorities.
Prior to joining the Foundation, Nsombi served as the inaugural Vice President for Diversity,
Equity and Inclusion at Pratt Institute. She also previously served as Assistant Provost for
Diversity and Inclusion at Northwestern University, the inaugural Assistant Dean of Diversity and
Inclusion at The Graduate School at Northwestern University, and Senior Director of the Office
of Diversity and Inclusion at the Johnson Graduate School of Management at Cornell University.
Prior to her years in academia, Nsombi held various roles in diversity and inclusion, human
resources, and marketing at American Express, AON Consulting, The Princeton Review, and
Kaplan Test Prep. 
Nsombi received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and Social Policy from
Northwestern University and an MBA in Marketing, Strategy and Leadership from Goizueta
Business School at Emory University as a Consortium for Graduate Study in Management
Fellow.
